Sports contents are fragmented across platforms
Overview
The NFL has cultivated a ritualized culture driven by fan loyalty, routine, and anticipation. This culture thrives off of moments, yet fans increasingly struggle to find the ones that matter to them. NUGGYS is a platform that delivers personalized NFL highlights based on players, teams, and moments each fan cares about. Making NFL highlights personal, intelligent, and effortless.

Construction
Using my existing knowledge of ReactJS, I built the first prototypes of NUGGYS. I started by building out the frontend of the app, and setting up a sort of shell of the app to then allow Cursor's AI capabilities to build out the backend data structure and logic. This was a great way to get a feel for the platform and how it works, but due to the nature of the project, I understood that Ineeded to build the app in a mobile native software to get the most out of the platform.
First Prototypes
These were the resulting interactive web prototypes with QR codes for on-device testing / exploring feed layout, AI insight flows, and the NUGZ request experience. Although they functioned well, through multiple showcases and user testing, I understood that much of the designs and interactions needed to be reworked to be more intuitive and user-friendly.

Final Construction
The native SwiftUI build brought the experience into Xcode—refining navigation, playback, and how live stats surface alongside each highlight. This new prototype allowed me to explore the full potential of the platform and how it could be used to create a more personalized and engaging experience for users.

NUGZ
Using Claude’s API, I prompt-engineered NUGZ to package and display a functional AI within the NUGGYS prototype.
Conclusion
NUGGYS began as a question of how NFL fans could reclaim the moments that matter to them in an age of fragmented sports media. Through research, rapid prototyping, and AI-assisted development, the project became an exploration of personalization at scale—translating live game data into highlight experiences that feel immediate, relevant, and effortless.
Designing NUGGYS taught me how to move from insight to shipped prototype across web and mobile stacks, using vibe-coding tools without losing intention in the UX. In the end, NUGGYS is not just another highlights app—it is a feed built around what each fan already cares about.
